On April 30th, 2009---the day the old James Farley Bridge was imploded---I began documenting the construction of the new bridge.
As an artist and photographer, I see beauty and 'art' in everyday life.
My goal was to document this construction project from an "artistic" point of view.
My goal was to capture the interesting activities, workers, equipment, colors, textures, abstract patterns and unique compositions at this site.
During the course of the construction, I took hundreds of photos. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from this collection.

Once upon a time there was a very old bridge on Route 9W in Stony Point, NY... then one day that bridge was imploded and a new bridge was built to take it's place...

Most of these photos were taken from April, 2009 thru October, 2010.
The Stony Point Bridge was opened to the public and to traffic in October, 12, 2010.
However, additional cosmetic work was still being done after the opening. I photographed a few shots of the completed bridge in January, and will upload more completed bridge photos very soon.
