I started taking photos of the Stony Point, 9W Bridge Construction Site on April 30th, 2009-- the day of the  Bridge Implosion.

As an artist and photographer, I see beauty and 'art' in everyday life.
My goal is to document this construction project
from an "artistic" point of view.
I focus on capturing the interesting activities, workers,
equipment, colors, textures, patterns
and unique compositions at this site.

All of these shots are shot through the small openings in a chain link fence that surrounds the site.
This limits access and composition opportunities, but presents an interesting and unique challenge
for getting shots that are interesting and well composed.

I've taken a few hundred photos so far.
Here are just a few of my favorite photos from this collection.
I will add more when I have time to do so.

I hope you will enjoy this photo-gallery of a small part of
Rockland County and Stony Point History.

Stony Point Bridge, 9W Bridge
Construction Site and On-Location Documentary Photography
Once upon a time there was an old bridge on Route 9W in Stony Point, NY...
then one day that bridge was imploded
and a new bridge was built to take it's place...
Below is a short slide show of just a few photographs from the hundreds I've taken of this construction site.
Additional photographs of the construction of the bridge up to
the ribbon cutting ceremony for the James Farley Bridge
will be added soon.
